County Basketball League covering County Durham, Teesside, Sunderland and North Yorkshire
The Durham County Basketball Association was formed in 1972 but can trace its roots back to the Wear Valley League in the early 1960s.
We provide basketball leagues and competitions for juniors starting at U8 level and all the way up to senior competition. We are proud to be the only local basketball league in the North East of England with a womens division and junior divisions.
The standard in the top divisions is strong with several mens and womens teams featuring current and recently retired national league players. The same is also true in the junior leagues with many of the players also competing in the BE national leagues. However there are teams and divisions for players of all abilities.

A thrilling encounter saw the Roos come from behind to secure a crucial 1 point victory. Down by 12 points at halftime, captain Jake Morrison sparked the comeback with a brilliant individual goal in the late in the 3rd quarter. Young gun winger Tommy Chen sealed the win with a spectacular off-the-ground finish in the dying minutes. The defensive effort from Mike Stevens and Danny Walsh was outstanding, making crucial tackles when it mattered most.
